View Full Version : Anybody got a Meg's Duo Fibre Glass towel that doesn't lint?
I thought this towel was the business when I first bought it. But now, after only two gentle washes, it leaves bits of lint all over the glass rendering it as good as useless. I'm going to try washing it again and then tumble drying it to see if that gets the lint out, but if not it's going in the bin.
Just wondered if anybody else is having/has had similar issues, and how they resolved them (if it all)?

I've tried loads of mf cloths for glass duties (not this Megs one tho') and I haven't yet found one better than the AG Ultra glass cloth that Alex at Serious Performance sells... 99.9% lint free and it works great with Stoners IG.

I have these Megs duo-fibres and they are pure rubbish, worst cloths ever, I am getting rid of all Megs stuff in my detailing collection because most of it is useless.

i use Tesco's own mf's for glass. i have washed them countless times and they still do the business, no lint marks etc.., i cleaned all my glass yesterday no problems with one i had done already done all interior plastics. It was just for an experiment and it worked fine, i was surprised, as i had used megs natural shine on most interior surfaces before i did the glass with the same mf, and it left no smear marks, easy-peesey, even down to removing megs #21 from the windows, which i use for a final coat.
just a mini interior detial but the tesco mf stood up to it

Sorry Ben - same here. I have a glass MF which from memory came as a freebie from motorgeek and it's the dog's danglies - never lints and wipes clean every time.
Most of my "normal" towels seem to lint on glass - even my good wax removal ones

I also use the origional Megs Ultimate wipes to, only use I have for those theses days, they work well.

I've got a few of these but find the nap a bit too thin, but I suppose that's how they make them lint free. Now that I've started using foaming glass cleaners (which IMO are far superior to others, including IG and NXT) I feel they'll just push the foam around rather than wipe it up.
Will soon find out though - got a detailing session planned for my car tomorrow (hasn't seen any attention in months) so will give the foam glass claner a go with the AG cloths and see how they shape up.

& I thought it was just me :o
I have one, & it lints like a snow storm.
I use "Bounty" paper towels & some nxt glass cleaner now, seems to work fine for me

Mine lints also. Switched to a conventional m/f to apply glass cleaning fluid (NXT) and a WW to dry.
I've never though about using a WW before - they don't lint on the outside when drying so no reason why they should on the inside - I'll have to give it a go!

Used Micropack WW glass for the first time at the weekend with NXT very quick no lint no smears but probably need two (one on one off) i'll be re-ordering v soon (used to use at least a full roll of tesco kitchen paper so will repay in a few washes i'm sure)
