Aloha,
Howdy from Hawaii

Just picked up a 350z that needs a good detailing, but I'm confused as to how to tackle some scratches around the middle of the dash. I was thinking to come at them with some paint, but since the dash is a type of plastic/rubber material I thought you would easily be able to tell where the work was done. Any ideas? Thanks :driver:

what about having it wrapped in vinyl? A friend of mine had his done in Carbon last year and it looks amazing:thumb:

If you need me to come over to talk to you in person, just pay the plane ticket and i'll be there like a shot.... Mmmmmmm sun and sand........

You could wrap it in carbon fibre film

If not i guess you would have to rub it down and paint from there

Wrapping it will probably be the easiest way to sort it out, Carbon Fibre FTW :thumb:

Order a slightly used interior from an auto wrecker in the states? There should be tons of 350z's that are beyond rescue there... haha.

Welcome to DW . You wont be able to remove those scratches. So you could buy a new console from a breakers or cover it in vinyl. To do this remove the trim, sand then paint the button in the centre. then wrap in vinyl, I'd suggest carbon fibre. You'll need some IPA (alcohol) to prep the surface a hairdryer and scalpel /craft knife. Oh and patience!

Here's an example of what it can look like (I didn't do this one)
