Well I detailed my car today -
Wash
Clay
Wax
I tried having a go on my pc with Poorboys SSR 2.5 but quite frankly I was too scared to use it due to fear of burning the paint or something, does anyone here fancy showing me how it's done?:newbie:
I have numerous products so they aren't a problem, its just knowing how to do it :(
BTW I would love to come to the meet in yorks on the 29th, but I am in edinburgh on that day :S
 Thanks in advance:buffer: :buffer:

D'oh! Should have read this thread first!
I'm thinking of getting a PC, never used one before. I've got some old panels from an old written off car to try on?
Would be beneficial to me too so I can see what the PCs are like?

Dude, I think the Yorks meet has already taken place - 29th as in 29th of October!
Back on topic, I'm sure you'll get some offers of help but I'd also suggest checking out Brazo's detailing DVD - it gives plenty of detail (ie proper footage) of the PC in action (& also rotary) and is a great starting point. If you're interested, PM Brazo and see whether he's still doing them.
Also, might be a bit of a hike as you're in Sheffield but there's a NW meet near Preston on Sunday 7 Jan - check HERE (http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17614) for info. Option B is that the 2 of you could combine forces like a crazy PCing duo & play on some scrap panels - nice way to get proper hands on practice with no risk (as the scrap bonnet in my garage will testify ;))

Steve Thanks for the PM. I am not a master by any means but i dont mind meeting up with some fellow members and having a small meet to discuss and show techniques etc.
The weather this time of year is a bit volitile for detailing so a good venue would be good.
keep us informed.

I'm up for this, sounds like a plan!
I wouldn't mind the meet being at mine, but I don't have a garage so if the weather did turn into rain, we'd have no where to go!

Sounds Good, If it rains we could always go to the pub! all need is some good weather and when we are free to meet up. I have got a wide varity of products for people to test out but wouldnt mind people chipping in if we use alot.

I may well be able to provide some garage space which means we could work under cover if weather is poor. Power and lighting available. We are 20/ 25 mins from sheffield city . shall we suggest some dates??

Not sure if you guys know but I do offer tutorials as part of the FinerDetails packages.
If you want more info give me a shout, happy to come over to Sheff if needed, the FD van is fully kitted and we can use both PC and rotary if you want professional demos.
Just another option for you to consider.
