I got my pc the other weekend and was just waiting for the time to try it out

Had my first go today, and i need some more practice, i was removing some of the swirls but it wasn't perfect and some still remain, so i'm gonna try some megs next time as i was using poorboys ssr this time.

Any way here goes.

The list of products used were the following:

Snow Foam - Wash
Sonus Der wunder drying towel

Sonus SFX Ultra-Fine Detailing Clay and Sonus Glyde Detailing Clay Lubricant

I then went on to use my pc, i started with a 6" sfx2 pad and some poorboys ssr 1 and this was the lightest combo i had, this didn't touch the swirls really, so stepped up to a 6" sfx1 pad with SSR 2.5 this was doing the trick, but i ended up using my 4" pads to try and speed up the process a bit,

Ended up using 4" sfx1 pad with SSR2.5 following by a 4" sfx2 pad with SSR 1.

This removed most of the swirls but some were still remaining, it's a good improvement over before and i'm still trying to work out the pc and how much pressure to apply and how best to get to grips with it.

With the PC'ing out of the way i went onto use some Sonus Paintwork Cleanser i got with my clay kit, i was really impressed with this and it was very easy to apply anf buff off.

Once this was done i gave the car a whole coat of Some p21s this was the first time i had used this wax, and i'm very impressed too, it gave a lovely wet finish and was very easy to apply and buff off.

I then treated all black plastics withs Megs Gold class bumper car(my megs 38 didn't turn up in time :( )

The tyres were treated with Poorboys Bold n Bright and for the wheels i used klasse AIO and some SG.

Overall i'm very happy with the finish of the car now, also got some nattys blue on order to give a bit more shine and some wheel brightner and megs 38.

I then went onto clean and dress the engine with AG Engine machine cleaner and AG viynl care and some damp clothes and microfibre towels.

Now for the pics it wasn't really dirty when i started just the usual weekely dust.

Some great work there Matt. Good results, I take it your happy with the pc. You can use the AG Rubber & Vinyl to do the wheel arches it looks like they are plastic liners. Never too many photos, photos we like it's the only way most of us get to see other peoples work.

thanks for all the positive replies, i've now got 2 other cars and my dads blue transit looking forward to doing that as it's a mess at the moment.

Want to try my nattys blue when it arrives under the p21s and maybe try some souveren sp? shame the car is only flat black and not metallic :(

Some great work there:thumb:

Not only do our wives / girlfriends / neighbours think we have lost it spending all day cleaning and polishing our cars; now as soon as we finish we are out in search of the nearest tree to get the "Brazo tree-effect bonnet shot"!
:buffer: :buffer: :D

Maybe we should run a seperate comp for the "Best Tree Shot"? Obviously Brazo would have to be the judge as he is the official tree-meister.
Right I am off in search of the nearest forest.:p

Nice car and great detail, I've a soft spot for the old Saxo after owning one of the first and best mk1 VTRs back in '97. My only comment would be the arches could do with dressing.
