OK. Go easy please - this is Dan - Beeste's son (Beeste Jnr.). I've spent hours watching him (Beeste Snr.) on our monaro and while being a general gofer for him, running back and forth to get the various products he's forgotten to bring out is usually fine as it results in a drive in the Beast, I thought I would have a go on the neighbour's car to show him whats what and earn some cash :thumb: Unfortunatly the car in question was dubbed to be such a POS by Beeste Snr. that I was relegated to using the products condemned to the back shelves of his vast collection. Fortunatly I was allowed to use the karcher pressure washer (although the novelty of shooting a high powered jet of water wore off some time ago) to speed things up.

Process:
1.Rinse down
2.Washed with ancient Karcher car wash (came with the jet wash!) or better known to some as 'paint stripper' using foam attachment thing
3.Wash mitted
4.Rinsed using Jet Wash
5.AG31 applied using sprayer (worked suprisingly well considering it hadn't been waxed in about 2 years!) and then rinsed off
6.Dried using Meguiars drying towel
7. NXT Spray Wax (YES spray wax!) applied all by hand
8.Buffed off using PC :buffer:
9.Wheels done with Megs Wheel Brightner
10. Tyres finished of with Megs tyre gel

I have to say I was suprised how well it came up considering the products used (come on, Spray wax! he could have at least given me genuine NXT or something!) and the lack of prep done. It was well received by the neighbours who said, 'it looks like its brand new again.' Yeah I thought, minus all the scrapes scratches and dents accumulated in Tesco car parks over the years, it does look pretty good!

Anyway, was glad to get back to the monaro and go for a drive :D especially with the new mods, my face looks like :doublesho and the sound makes people go:

Please be nice (do I get extra points for being 15??), you know it makes sense! :thumb:

Perhaps we should have a new competiton called 'can't detail' 'won't detail' lol where a contestant is provided with a few unwanted products and has to make the best of it!!

And a good job you've made of it too :thumb:

Ah great job there mate, making the best of what you had to hand. Has to be worth some extra points.

In all honesty, I don't think i've found many products I'd say were bad, even the dreaded Mer, a pain in the **** to use but didn't produce a bad finish. It's just that better products exist and if it offers a miniscule of improvement, it usually gets some of my cash!

Beeste Jnr.

I agree Neil, the other difference you really notice is the longevity, that spray wax lasts about 3 days whereas *****/souveran etc will last for weeks maybe months!

LMAO! He's a good egg and has learned quite a few tricks of the trade whilst in gofer mode. He's now got permission to target the golf course here. Basically a wash and wax while you golf service. Should net him quite a bit of work over the weekends. If he can get out of bed :)

Well he has to do something to pay his way. Money dosn't grow on trees and the sooner he learns that the better. Blimey I haven't heard that for 25years I must sound like my dad.

lol Beeste your tough on your son, Nxt spray wax!

Well at least if you (beeste juniour) get to washing/waxing some cars then you will have your own royal glaze ***** before your dad and he will be begging for it, instead throw some NXT spray wax his way and say "its ok dad this will work just fine for you"

You really did turn that car around and for 15 I would take you on as an apprentice if you were closer ;)

I can't find anything on the NSPCC website regarding not allowing your children to use decent detailing products so I guess its not something they can help with. ;)

Nice job though bud :)

In the Pro Range catologue it says By Rotary, PC or Hand.

I think It is more for Machine but with a little extra elbow grease it'll be fine by hand.
