Well after receiving so many positive comment's, I thought that I'd try my luck in the comp. :thumb:
My New Project Continued...Lot's of Pic's
Well was up at 8am today to get cracking on the interior of the Astra, being so early I could not use a vacuum cleaner - so set to cleaning the dust and grime from the dashboard and other area's of the interior.
My weapons of choice for this were :
Meg's APC cut 4:1
Einzett Plastik Reiniger
Enduro interior brush
Boars Hair brush
Meg's Slide detail brush
Selection of MF's
6 Buckets of warm rinse water :doubleshoThe dashboard was absolutely minging so I liberally sprayed it with the 1z cleaner and then used various brush to clean the nook's and crannies.

After cleaning the surface of the dashboard and the vents, the water in my bucket was literaly black, so I cleaned the MF's and changed the water.

Next I moved on to the door panels and door shuts, plastic area's were again blasted with the 1z, fabric panels treated to APC. The door shuts were also sprayed with APC.
After a little time to dwell I worked the plastic with a detail brush, the fabric with the enduro brush and then all wiped clean with MF.
Again the water was so dirty I was having to change it after each door panel

Next I lifted out the boot carpet, and found yet more grime under it - although it would appear that the spare wheel or tools have never been used.....

The bootfloor was treated with APC and wiper around, the same treatemnt was given to the spare wheel and tools. Then I think I lost the plot a little -- I dressed the tyre with CG New Look gel and polished the boot floor with Poorboys Pro Polish :o
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d59/skodaw/Astra%20Cesaro%2016v%20Day2/AstraCesaro073.jpg
Same treatment to the passenger side front footwell - the one remaining cesaro mat was soaked with APC and scrubbed with the enduro -- a proper clean will have to wait untill I have an extractor vacuum.

And yet I was only half way through, the weather held so I decided to tackle the faded trim, so out came the CG New Look Gel again - I love this product, so easy to use and you only need such a small amount to get fantastic results.
I applied it using a foam applicator, using very small amounts I went around all the trim and then once that was done I went around again with a MF to buff it off.

Once I had applied and buffed off the polish I backed the car down the drive and repeated the picture's I took yesterday..

The only area that was not tackled today is the engine bay, that is for two reasons, I don't have a pressure washer and there is an oil leak that needs fixing first.
Overall I am very happy with today's efforts - a little over 6 hours work non-stop. Unfortunately my hoover is not very good and I will be looking to secure a better one so that I can get into all the nook's and crannies.
Whilst I was applying the CG Gel, my neighbour came out and asked what I was using as it looked really good....
He had bought some trim gel from the poundshop...... and seamed really suprised that it got washed off completely in even a very light shower and once gone had done nothing to restore the plastic
When I told him how much money I had spent on the detailing kit I've got at the moment I thought he was going to pass out :D
Thank's for reading, I hope you've enojoyed reading as much as I have enjoyed doing.
