Well today i began my first Detail! only been a member a week, so ive done alot of reading, and ordered my PC etc! my car gets this dirty every week, as i work in a office on a steel making plant! so i share roads with dump trucks etc!

at 9am, i began, heres how it looks this morning, with the dew, and 1 degree c!Process was

Cleaned off muck with Pressure washer.
AG Tar Remover.
MEG Nxt Wash (with mit & 2 bucket method).
rinse and rempeat step.
Dry with MEG water magnet.
MEG Clay with QD.
Sonus Paint Cleanser.
Sonus SFX2 on white 6" Pad.
Megs Nxt Tech Wax to finish.
MEG Glass Cleaner

Wheels:
AG alloy wheel cleaner
MEG Endurance tyre Gel.

Interior:
AG Interior Cleaner
MEG #38
MEG glass cleaner

Next Polish on Exhaust.

Ok so!It was cleaned, clayed and then de tared, and dried with Meg water magnet (I can see why you need 2, after its wet its very hard to rinse to get dry again!!)
http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/gringoboyo/DSC00756.jpg

The swirls and scratches were out in force!

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/gringoboyo/DSC00812.jpg

i then began to use the PC, wow is all i can say, it was nice to use, gave a great finish!!!! i even saw the polish 'Bloom' as described by you guys! wiped down with a MF:

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/gringoboyo/DSC00798.jpg

by applying the polish (sfx2) to the pad then dabbing the pad, as can be seen i think it spread the polish better:(great tip from steve)

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/gringoboyo/DSC00808.jpg

some swirls remained, but i was so happy with the results, from the polish alone!

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e320/gringoboyo/DSC00836.jpg

So i began with the NXT tech wax, went on ok with the applicator, hard to get an even spread for me though, still i left it sit for a few mins while I did other sections, then wiped off with some soft MF. Think it brought out a great reflection, but lacked the 'wetness' ive seen with some waxes! maybe i should try some nattys or somehting simliar!?

Then i dressed tyres, cleaned glass and gave it a wife over.

Finishing Shots:

Not sure it comes close to the others, but thought i would show my 6
effort anyway :)

Thanks,

Very nice:thumb:

Great results too, for your first PC use.

Did you apply the NXT by Hand or PC?

Rite I'm gonna tell you again see if you take any notice this time eh :D

I notice you're not wearing gloves.......I wear gloves that are leather on the front and cotton on the back and are a very neat fit it just helps with the vibration eh :thumb:

didnt know they made leather marigolds? or are you just kinky:lol:

I have some latex free rubber gloves and since i started using them i've stopped getting really dry skin on my hands and find they stay warmer in this cold wether( i even use them when washing and drying).

will have to try a pair yes, i dont find that with a little bit of pressure it vibrates that badly? however after a couple of goes I guess it could become quite annoying. The worst part I found was the bonnet and roof, and me in tears from my back! thaanks for the tip though, 2 pics i forgot:

Beading was very nice:

Excellent job on the detail! I bet Natty's Blue would be a great topper.

Next time you use the PC try it without the side handle and hold the head of the polisher instead - you'll find you get *alot* less vibration.

An exceptional job there mate and what a cracking colour. Maybe experiment with some other waxes eg Megs #16 or Nattys.

Very, very good work - great attention to detail, great write up. You have an awesome flake simmering in your paint, I would unleash it fully by finishing with 2 thin coats of EX-P topped with a coat of Natty's Blue. Awesome! :thumb:
