The 888 is a limited run of switchable 160/200 bhp diesels. The 888 has something to do with the racing team I was told.

The VXR is 240bhp petrol and the 888 is the oil burner. Its 20mpg or 45 mpg one of the guys said.

At the opening day at our plant (Vauxhall, Ellesmere Port) we aree hoping to get some of the VXR racing teams cars down. They are changing to vectra's for the next season :doublesho :wall:

looking good in white, id have one over a VXR seen as they only did 100 of them. the out come may have been diffrent if they could both drive better though. :driver:

Triple Eight (http://www.tripleeight.co.uk/) are the people who prepare the Vauxhall race cars and run the team etc during the season.

Those wheels, a mare for gathering muck/dust etc, I managed to get one of the Black ones possibly 'stealth' wheels clean, as soon as possible get some Chemical Guys Wheel Guard on them it's a superb sealant which stands extreme temperatures, great for those who like to be heavy on the old brakes:thumb: :).


It was a cracking day, mmm 200bhp diesel I'm hankering after a Golf 1.9 GT TDI 150 (then Chip it) this just broadens my horizons:)

I've heard a rumor that 888 are going to do a special version of the Vectra too. Not a Diesel this time but they are breathing on the 2.8 Turbo from the VXR. Taking it from 280 PS up to 340 PS. Should be interesting!
