I recently bought the sony A100 and have had some cracking shots with it, took near 300 at NY while away in the Pyrenees but to be honest I have just been messing with various settings:( and haven't really picked ip up since!
Plus my cousins wedding coming up in a few months which they've asked me to kinda be the photographer at cos I've got a decent camera:confused:  so I REALLY need to get to know how to work it!!!!

any help would be very much appreciated, was looking at the Idiots guide to Digital photography and thinking of starting there:confused:

Nah no personal experience of it but sounds something like what you wanted.

Try amazon here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_i_1/203-0951972-9679113?ie=UTF8&keywords=digital%20slr&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Adigital%20slr%2Ci%3Astripbooks) and just read what others have thought of the various DSLR books available...

Trust me, even what you may think are stupid questions will be responded to with respect and useful info. Bear in mind that the majority of tips and techniques are no different between digital and old fashioned film cameras, plenty of cheap books on the market or if your lucky enough to have one near you, a library will have a great choice of literature.

Hi Kenny,

www.ephotozine.com is decent. Prob the best i have found for on the net.

I also buy Digital SLR Photography as about 3 months ago they started a "beginner's guide to DLSR photography" were they give average joe a technique to follow and she reports back.

Cheers,
Mark.
