car care version (http://shop.ionicsystems.com/htdocs/acatalog/Spot_Free_Filter_Systems.html)
i know this type of thing is used for marine aquariums as they need pure water for the little fishies
Saw an advert in this Evo mag for a system looks intresting. I only wash my baby with distilled anyway! LOL
Just joking the waters soft round here, that and AG Autogloss rinse work a treat.
Did wash the 306 once with bottled water at a show once!

We've got a condensing tumble dryer, so I've got a free supply. Mrs Throbbe is also happy when I do the washing.

Yep, it's distilled water. I've not used it for cleaning but I always use it for topping up the cooling system and washer bottle.

Oooh!
I splashed out on the Flash car was thingy today. Only bought it for the De-Ionising water filter, but i'll give it a go and let you know how rubbish it is! :D
You'd be surprised the de-ironised water part of the kit is really quite good - i dont use mine anymore as its too much hassle and i can dry the car before its evaporates in this weather so no water spots! :)

Website needs fixing Mr Ionic...Searched for UK distributor and got page not found error and got a directory browsing page when I tried to view the online catalogue! Was looking for some way of finding out more about your product for home and what the price is.
Is your product a bit like the aquagleam? Looked similar from some photos on the website.

I use the flash thing for the water filter and it is actually very good. it does work but it slow the flow rate isnt that good. I try to fill a watering can with it and rinse with that. I aos use it to fill any dillutable prodicts.

i had one of these about 2 years ago as the water here in swindon is hard as nails.
i have to say - the first time i used it to rinse i was amazed!! rinsed and let it dry on its own and it was almost spot free.
only lasted once tho - then it was dead!

I didn't have any specific questions, just thought you'd like to know re: website. It's your company's image not mine.

my uncle used the flash car care kit and he said it was quite good, he has just been too lazy to buy a new filter for it :D
I've just fitted a new filter to mine, and it's certainly not doing the job it used to.
Not sure if it's a duff one, been used up already, or is partially used with the other water functions on the unit, which I used to rinse off with.
Got one more spare filter from the initial half dozen I bought at the time, so I'll pop that in and see if that works, but I may just adopt the above mechanism, if not a Peerless one.
Would rather not spend it if I don't have to, but......

how much do these cost ?
The 12" residential one is £47, and the 30" one is £79, after a quick call.
Suggested use is rinse only, and the 12" should last 6 months, the 30" easily a year or more, depending on hardness of water in your area.
Those estimates are for soft-medium.
Since Jason is a member here, he might be able to organise a bit of discount.

Doesn't bode to well for your business though, imvho. I have been on your website twice in the last month or so, as I was interested in your products, but a shoddy website that doesn't work has caused you to lose a potential trade customer, e.g, me. I would have thought by now you would have got it sorted.
Just sayin'...

These filters are more than suitable for profesional use for the whole wash process if nesecery, we have used it 2/3 times a day for several months with no downturns in performance with completely spotless results on a black Range rover dried in direct sunlight.

is there any filter you can use in conjuction with a pressure washer?
is there any filter you can use in conjuction with a pressure washer?
Any of them potentially can be, if the flow rate out of them is more than what the PW's is.
In other words, if your PW does 5L/min, then as long as you measure the output after installing the filter, and it's still above 5L/min, you can connect it to the PW.
If less, then it'll be watering can job or hose sprayer, which may be a bit of a pain for some if the hosepipe doesn't reach to where the care is parked up.

I 2 think the de-ironising part of the flash kit is quite good, just a bit slow but does the job

Just found this, not a bad price neither with the extra options to add filters for 1-3 yrs too

Okay, the 7/120 requires 7 L coming in at the very least, and as it can suck the water from the butt, it'll take what it needs.
The filter above will probably reduce the output to below 7 L/min, so no this type isn't for you.
You'd be wanting something to let a minimum of 10 L/min through, and that'd need to be its lowest level, so something that averages 10 L could have a low of 6 L, which would potentially starve the machine, and cause a failure of it.
I'd be looking one that averages 14 L/min.
Either that or you fill the tank with filtered water.
There's other threads running not that far back - 3 months maybe? - which has links, and Google will provide you with more to view, so finding something suitable shouldn't be that tall an order.

I didn't know this. What about chemical residue from the wash process? Detergent, conditioner, and what about those tumbl dry freshness sheets? Would these affect the purity of the water?
