View Full Version : Wheels done in a Pearl white?? opinions please
Here's my latest creation.
A set of BBS 3 piece splits done in a pearl white, rebuilt to a suttle 6.5j and 7j x 15.
How will they go down??? seeing as have moved away from black centre's with polished rims.
Opinions please always help, good and bad.
Thank you

My personal opinion here is that these wheels are beautiful, though I am also a fan of the Pealescent white that I've seen a couple of Auid A8s done in. I wonder what they'd look like on a Golf done in a pearlescent white?...
Beautiful wheels, though, something different, I think they look great! :thumb:

Superb, really quite unusual :thumb:
Though i do think the colour of car will be important to show them at their best, IMO.

I love pearl white - it is so much nicer than a flat white.
Audi used to do it on the Quattro, and more recently on S2 coupes.
I was told originally they used to paint the car flat white and then the pearl was in the clear coat lacquer - I guess paint technology has moved on a tad since then.
Remember seeing a gorgeous pearl white Mk 1 Golf Cab at GTI International a couple of years back - those wheels would be perfect:thumb:

Bugger what colour - that's a trouser accident waiting to happen mate :D :thumb:
Always thought white alloys were a bit, well, naff - your pics have just changed my mind and I know where I'll be going for a refurb of my 1.9 Speedline wheels :D

I thought the same at first. could not imagine the end finish in my mind.
When i paint the flat white base coat, Ummmmmmm too bright:doublesho ,
then once the pearl went on, i soon saw the change, big big smile:D
