View Full Version : Einszett Wax Polish Soft

I had a go Polycharging the einszett wax polish soft.
For those that don't know, the WPS is in my opinion one of the best 'filler' products available. It is more of a synthetic glaze, imagine either Megs NXT or #21 for looks, with the bonus of being able to hide what you haven't polished out.
I added 4 drops of CH polycharger to 2 oz of WPS, and then shook the bottle well for 30 seconds. As always when mixing up products that are not on the list, let the mix stand for 5 minutes to see if there is any negative reaction (I am led to believe that the mix will curdle if the product doesn't want to be polycharged) The WPS stayed mixed, so on with the application.
Using a dampened foam applicator, I worked the WPS into the paint as one would a glaze. The product applied slightly thickly, but this was more down to the unclayed and unpolished paintwork than a fault of the product. It took less than 5 minutes to apply to the whole car, but the product was ready to remove straight away ( a swipe with a finger through the product shows if the product removes cleanly) The product seemed very easy to remove, no dusting and no dragging. Just a light buff off. I gave the car a 2nd coat to ensure even and full application, this too was wipe on, wipe off.
The results - A very nice and bright finish, with a nice amount of slickness to touch. was impressed.
I'll try and get a couple of pics up in the morning, but this is definatley a combo that I'll be reaching for again.:thumb:

The Einszett products are very much underated IMO. :) Nice one Steve bringing an 'old skool' product bang up to date with the Polycharger!
I've been playing with the Metallic Polish Wax and slightly more abrasive Paint Polish with good results.
Look forward to seeing the Cooper tomorrow!

Huge bottle of Polycharger, a proper pipet (that comes with the kit) and a polycharger mixing bottle with 2 fl oz of Einszett WPS in-

You can just see the 4 drops worth of CH polycharger floating on the top of the WPS -

This is great thinking. :thumb:
There are a lot of great products on my shelves that I haven't used in a while, but will benefit greatly from a boost in their durability. I might have a go with some PC boosted DW/CG WWW if it stops raining

Just a thought Steve did you use all the 2 Oz to do the car, only I have been able to do the whole Audi with 1 Oz of sealant easily?
Also good to see the H20 is blue and the CH is Green, saves chemistry disasters!

That's exactly what I was thinking mate. I've got loads of bottles of product from all over the place sat on the shelves in the garage. Some of them used to really rock my boat at the time too (Chemical Guy's M Seal and Megs #26 are just two that spring to mind) My plan is to try the polycharger on as many different products as I can, and try and get some side by side comparisions of the effects.

Cheeky monkey - I did manage to give the Cooper two good coats of product (applied like a glaze, not applied like a sealant) and still had a good quantity left over at the end to block the sink with;)
It's little bits like the colour coding of product and the proper pipettes like the ones in the chemistry kit that I always wanted as a kid but was never allowed that atracts me more and more to the polycharger.

The Cooper looks alright from a distance, though it's a different story up close -

That's what regular car washing does a cars paint - It almost looks like someones taken some fine W&D to it. The 1z WPS helps a lot, but I'm really itching to get the Metabo out on it, to see what sort of finish I can create.
I think that this may be a big job, but one that makes an awesome bit of forum write up material.
