I like a matt finish, with a very slight hint of satin - but i prefer matt to shiney satin so i voted matt!

As it left the factory, totally Matte in the case of the clio.

Used to like mine glossy though, used to think it it showed it was clean!

used to have it glossy in the saxo but imo it looks a bit tacky in the golf!

That will be the flash then, no gloss in real life.

I have two sets, on carpet one rubber, paper ones keep them clean though!

I know! I was messing - no gloss to be seen!

I like it...mats to keep you carpet clean and paper mats to keep you carpet mets clean which in turn keep the carpet clean. I'm liking that! :D

You could always wear a new set of disposable overalls whenever you get in the car. :D

I like a satin finish in my 307. But it really depends on the car. Some cars look better with a satin finish and some with a matt finish IMO.

I used AG vinyl and rubber care on my focus dash and it came out really shiny, looked really bad. They look cheap and horrible anyway but after than I could barely look at it!! lol

I always aim for that natural factory finish, however some older cars do need that something extra just to lift them. AG Supersheen as a last resort.

Resurrecting an old thread here, but just to say that after trying a matt finish dashboard spray (Simoniz) on the Rover for the first time last night, I have to say that in this particular case I prefer glossy.

The matt finish makes the Rover plastic (on the dash itself, not the doors which are different stuff) look lifeless, and in fact look like it needs dressing!

So I'm going to go back to something with a bit of sheen to it, although for newer cars with modern plastics, I agree that matt looks better.

i know exactly what you mean. Matt just looked wrong in the Scirocco.
