Apologies if this is already covered elsewhere on the forum but...

I want to purchase a Porter and I believe it is cheaper to purchase from autogeek, but is this the best place? And whats with all the transformer business?

Can someone also give a brief explination of the pads, i.e. what each type does, how long they last and how much product you should use.

What about the techniques for using the machine, i.e. big circular movements, up and down, light pressure, no pressure, lots of pressure or just any old direction?

Cheers

Most people import directly from the states, see shauns excellent guide http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/showthread.php?t=136 You need a step down transformer because they are only made for the U.S. market and so they run off 110 volts.
Brazo has written another excellent guide on how to use one http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/showthread.php?t=133
