Had this rather neglected Mini to do today.

First job was to tackle those grimey wheels

Sprayed with P21s red wheel gel, then attacked with just about every type of wheel brush in my arsenal got them clean, although they could of done with coming off to do them properly, but as it was a customers car they stayed on for insurance reasons. They were later sealed with 2 coats of Jetseal, leaving them looking like this

Car was then foamed, washed & clayed. Ready for a proper inspection, which revealed a few horrors

Why you shouldn't use t-cut on clearcoats, you can just make out the hazy marks were someone had a go at removing some paintspots with t-cut.

Car was taped up and paint depth readings taken, was quite surprised how thin the paint was on this car, no areas showed over 100! except the roof which was showing an average 125.

Test area was masked up and 106FA with megs yellow polishing pad were giving acceptable safe levels of correction

A poor 50/50

LSP chosen today was Swissvax Saphir (thanks Tim:thumb: ), pleased with the results this gave, didn't IMO seem much different in looks to BoS.
Tyres Dressed with AG No.5
Exterior trim dressed with DG silicone free dressing

Not a great deal of afters as it was starting to rain! (again)

Judging by the "before's" I hope the owner was very happy with the "afters" and the brillo pad was despatched to the bin!!

Nice detail, you did all that with 106FA wow..very nice. I just recieved my 106FA lovely stuff but last mini I did I had to use Menzerna Power Gloss Compound to remove a bunch of scratches. Looks good though.

Thank you for sharing.
