Golden is first choice. I'm quite partial to a Nutella pancake too.

I like mine stacked with Maple, a nice dollop of chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, cooked apples, chocolate sauce and Malteasers. Yummy.

I have tried many variations, these are my favourites: melted butter and honey, banana and nutella, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream (yes, ice cream in a pancake, don't knock it if you haven't tried it ;) ) lemon juice and honey, sugar and cinnamon, sugar and lemon.

Sugar an lemon or Nutella and banana. If I had to choose a syrup then maple is a must.

Is it really wrong that I've never had maple syrup? Do love a bit of golden syrup on pancakes though!

As i only make American Pancakes, its maple syrup for me - as well as crispy streaky bacon. Drown the lot in proper maple syrup - not the cheap, table syrup that's maple flavour.

Golden syrup is best for french toast.

Where's the gravy at?

Gixxer6

I had a few American style pancakes with maple syrup and melted Kerrygold butter, was very good and then had 3 traditional pancakes with sugar and lemon juice. No proper meal tonight, just pancakes.
