Which PC kit to buy.

After talking to 182_blue and his great advice i nearly went and ordered my PC tonight.

AS buying stuff in the UK has worked out to cost to much so i am going for the import route.

But looking into it there is two polishing kits a SFX kit and DAS kit.

which one is the best one to go for?

Good choice buying from Autopia, great service and you'll usually recieve stuff in around 3 days.

As for the pads, both are good, but i personally went for the DAS pads. They're supposed to be slightly less aggressive than their SFX counterparts and are great for new/good condition paint. The SFX pads are noticibley firmer and around half an inch smaller.

One thing to note though, there's going to be new DAS pads coming out soon (called DAS 2 pads funnily enough) which are meant to be improved - but are going to be for expensive. Personally i'd go for the current DAS ones, but it will make little difference if you go for the SFX ones :) Hope that helps!

i went for das pads too, but sfx are ok too, either will be fine really, although sfx do work a bit better as there smaller, also get a set of 4" sfx spot pads too

Just one thing a lot of the guys in the States are finding the PC's are on back order in other words out of stock :(

I have both the DAS and SFX kits. I like the DAS ones for good shape paint and use the SFX for more aggressive paint correction.

The DAS ones are larger and sofer, the SFX have more dense foam, stays wet for longer, and seem more agressive compared to the DAS pads of the same grade.

Ordered mine on friday and it shipped on monday (friday being veterans day), so they must have found a few out the back.
