Topped the Honda off #845 yesterday and I cannot stress how impressed i am with it.

I had expectations of it being quite hard to use due to its reputation for durability. How wrong I was. It was a dream to use, looks fab and if it gives me the durability it is reputed to have then it is all good.

I cant believe A product this easy to use will last:)

It is a great product. Don't know why everyone says it's so hard to work with!

I've been using it for the last 6 months and even used it during summer I was that impressed with the look.

I thought it was hard to work with initially, but find it a breeze now, especially when applied with a finishing pad via PC.

A great product, you will not be disappointed, great beading too.

If you just want to try it what better, and cheaper, way than to get a sample size from Alex, only comes to £2.89 delivered.

Hi,

I got a sample of 845 from Alex and topped it over aio+sg and it was the best results I have ever had on my car. I own all the poorboys range but I have never got the finish I got with the above products. Best thing I did it all by hand as my brother has borrowed my PC.

Anybody find the 845 texture like vasaline when applying?

I did 2 back 2 back coats for even coverage, how long do you think the 845 to hold out??? The car will be washed weekly and QD.

Thanks

Heard on another forum that one of the suppliers said 915 and 476 are the same.

Oh, and the 915 is dearer

I believe that they are 99% similar. People on Autopia have contacted Collinite for advice and that have said save the money and buy the 476.

Chevy--> the 845 is quite thick but if you shake it first it thins out but it'll always be thick.

I use Marque D'Elegance and assumed it was virtually the same as 476 (but not tried 476). I think the price difference from Alex at SP was marginal and as Marque D'Elegance comes in a 12 oz tub and 476 in a 9 oz tub, I thought the extra few quid was worth it.

Used some of my sample today.

Never used it before and am very pleased with it.

Now got AIO, SG, #476 and #845, after Christmas i`ll be topping with OCW.

If that lot doesn`t see me through winter i am seriously going to see my ar5e

Just used 845 IW today and have to say I am very impressed, easy on, easy off, tremendous.

If it is anywhere near as durable as Marque D'Elegance I will be a very happy man.

I put some 845 on a couple of days after xmas and it is still beading well. Car has only been washed and a quick spray of megs wax since.First wax I have ever used and I am impressed. Someone on here did tell me to leave it on the car for about 12 hours to bond/ cure, which I did, so maybe that explains the longevity of it.
Can I wash the car and just reaply a quick coat or do I have to go through the whole wash, clay etc process?

2 months on, and an update.

Having been away and leaving strict instructions on what not to/to do to look after the Civic.

I washed the car today, first time in 2 months and since the carlack/845 combo.

and it looks Fab, this stuff really is living up to the hype, the paint still has that slick "just waxed" feel to it.

in comparison i didnt get time to do the Ka, and it looks and feels awful (still better than most peoples cars) , it has degraded in 2 months quite quickly (it was last topped with megs gold class in november)

845 for me in the winter in the future:thumb:

Glad your liking it and it's living up to the hopes for durability. I am completely sold, absolutely love the finish and it beads so well.
