Hi, im looking for product to use with the pc to get rid of the swirls etc.i already have clay but would i need a paint cleaner aswell as the products below?
Can you tell me if this would be a good combo for a black car:
Poorboys SSR2.5
Megs #80
Nattys Blue
I dont really want to go crazy at the minute with lots of polishes etc.

80 and ssr are similar
is it minor swirls? #80 might be enough

steve is #83 not the equivilent of ssr2.5? maybe wrong, combo seems fine but like steve said try least agressive pad and product for the job.

Your combo looks good to me, it one I have used a few times in the past with success. First off, try #80 on a light cutting pad to see iof this will remove the swirls, as if it does there'll be no need to go for anything more aggressive. If not, then step up to SSR2.5 on a light cutting pad, and if this doesn't work move to SSR2.5 on a cutting pad ans then follow this with #80 on a light cutting or polishing pad.
#83 and SSR2.5 are very close to each other in terms of aggressiveness - SSR2.5 breaks down and seems to work more quickly for me than #83, but both return very similar results.
Also, its worth noting that if you struggle with swirl removal with 6.5" pads, consider stepping down to 4" pads on the PC as they will generate more heat and get a slightly better cut.

Yea i thought that #83 ans ssr2.5 were roughly the same but i think i would prefer the ssr. i know what you are saying about trying just the #80 first which might end up that i dont need to use the ssr at all. I will buy it just in case though.
Would i need any sort of chemical paint cleaner in addition to the clay or would the clay be enough?
Also would i need a sealent for the above combo?

I wouldn't reall both with a chemical cleaner after the clay if you are planning on using #80 and/or SSR2.5 - these two polishes will be fine.
Once you used the SSR and #80, you will need a sealent and/or wax to seal in the shine. Poorboys EX-P works very well, and topped with Poorboys Nattys you get durable finish that is nice an wet and glossy.

Yea i think i will go for the ex-p. Can i apply the sealent with the pc? What pad do i use for this?

Yes you can - use a finishing pad (black Lake Country pad), and speed three on the PC and a single pass of the PC. This spreads the sealent out nice and evenly.

i take it the finishing pad is the blue one with the sfx kit? Also is it better to remove the wax with a mf cloth?

Yes, the finishing pad in the Sonus SFX kit if the blue one.
I would use a microfibre towel to remove the residue with, and I tend to just remove the residue by hand.

What do you mean mate? Do you mean apply the sealent/wax with the pc then remove it with the mf cloth when dry?

Yep, thats it. With the Poorboys EX-P, apply using the SFX blue pad with the PC, leave it an hour or so to cure and then remove it with the mf towel by hand when dry. :)
The combo in the first post works very well on Black, would stick a sealant in before the wax though.
On Flat Black Ex with Carnuba, or EX-p on Metallic Black.
