View Full Version : Downloading and netmeter

i need some help, i turn my lappy on today and notice on netmeter there is a constant download speed of 95kb/s and 7kb/s upload. i have turned everthing off and just left avast/avg and zone alarm/peer guardain running and it still shows something is downloading:wall:

i have run spybot search and remove and ad aaware, deleted all cookies/files but still it is showing that im downloading something

is there any way i can find out what my lappy is downloading

unless its some kind of update?
but its been loke this for the past hour:mad:

You could go into Task Manager and see what processes are running, then google the names if you're uncertain of any.

cheers, i went into task manager and found a program that was using a lot of memory, called tea timer.com. googled it and found it to be associated with spybot. so i ended that program and netmeter says nothing is downloading now.

Now you've ended the program, search the PC for it, so you can delete it. Won't start at next logon then. :)

just disable it in spybot, no need to delete it

Better to delete it than just disable it though.

how do you disable it in spybot?
id rather disable it otherwise to delete that i would have to delete all of spybot
i would rather keep it because it picks up spyware which ad aware doesnt
