Be careful about looking at the one's in Comet. They are currently trying to flog the Panasonic 37" TH-37PX8B for £550, when for the same money (or less) you can get the TH-37PX80B. The difference? the 8B has a contrast ratio of 10000:1, only 2 HDMI ports and features the V-Real 2 picture processing engine. The 80B (the `B' stands for British version) has a contrast ratio of 15000:1, 3 HDMI ports and features the newer V-Real 3 processing engine. I've got the 37PX80B and it's a fantastic TV on normal SD via both the SKY+ and the built Freeview. DVD's are stunning. I don't have either a console or a HD source so can't vouch for how good these are but going by reviews they are equally as superb. I spent ages looking at specs, designs and prices for a TV and ended up with this one and don't regret it one bit. I was going to go for an LCD, but have seen on various sites that these can suffer sight ghosting with things like football and fast moving films whereas Plasma's don't. Also, don't forget unless your sticking it on the wall, you will need a stand (I nearly did!). Hope this helps a bit. BTW according to loads of people on AVforum 1080p is pointless on anything under 40".

No matter which Panny you get you won't regret it. I have the PZ700, and it's still in the burn in process, but the HD quality is mind blowing. Proper HD, not just HD ready, but it's about double to price of the PX, HD ready screens. There's very little in it to be honest.

Er why?

Go for the size that suit's your viewing distance and the size of living room. Don't be swayed by people saying `get this size' `get that size'. Work out where you are going to put to TV in relation to your sofa/armchair. Afterall, would you sit in the front row of a cinema?....

Well i've seen the Panasonic TH-37PX80B for £575 delivered lowest so far.

I Think going by the room size 37 would suit it nicely.

^^ got the above set Graham paid £593 which was from John Lewis
with a free 5yr warranty (price matched with sound and vision bolton)

This is the best TV at present if you are watching freeview for the most part
The plasmas do give great blacks and even football on a crappy signal is watchable not like similar priced LCD

Go for it mate you wont be dissapointed:thumb:
