Hello all,

Just purchased one of these bad boys last weekend with a 4Gb SD card and TomTom Navigator 6, absolutely awesome. Going from a Motorola V3i to MS WM 6 has been interesting tho! :D

I am having one major issue so far tho. I had to swap SIM cards (as I was with Orange prior) and I typed in all of my contacts into the phone again - not the best way to spend an hour. When doing this I had a choice of Outlook contact or SIM contact. I choose Outlook so I could add e-mail addys etc.

Yestarday I synced the device with my laptop and to my horror I have lost all my contacts from the phone. Thankfully they appear in my Outlook contact list - I can't get them back to the phone tho!?!

Does anyone know how I can sync these back to the phone? They worked fine until I plugged in that damn USB cable yestarday!

Many thanks!

Iirc you have to save them to sim first then there should be an option to copy them over to outlook. Give it a go with just one number first and see if it works. :thumb:

Thanks for the super quick reply Matt!

Do you mean I will have to retype them all back into the phone again but save to the SIM instead of making them Outlook ones to begin with? I don't think I'm mentally capable of that! :wall:

The contacts I typed in have moved to Outlook on my lappy, so isn't there any way to transfer them back to the device that I'm missing?

Unfortunately yes you would need to do them one by one. Just try one first though just incase it doesnt work.

I don't know how long it will be before I go insane tho! I should've read the manual I guess. :o

Ok, I did one and it did stay behind after syncing.

However, in Windows Mobile Device Centre I found a sync settings button where you could select what syncs etc. Contacts was unticked, so I tried ticking it (see attached IMG). Resynced and hey presto, there all back.

How glad am I! :D

Thanks again for your help on this issue!
