    If the situation arises where you need to insure a private car again, you are best off talking a Broker who can put a case forward to an insurer and try and get the maximum NCB allowed.

    If your NCB has been taken into account on your MT policy, then it is now being used on the MT policy and can't be used on a private car.

    If you stop your MT policy and want to go back to a private car policy, most insurers will issue proof of actual earned MT NCB, some may also mention the private car NCB when issuing NCB proof.

    It will then be a case of finding a private car Insurer that is happy to accept MT NCB.

    This all depends on which insurer you are with, as it does vary between them.
