Ok cool, if it's soft I'll tell the dealer not to touch it and give it a polish with tripple myself

The very outer clearcoat is soft, and you can marr it with a tough microfibre! It swirls very easily, especially the black ones. The underneath is quite tough however :-)

How do you mean mark up easily? Is it soft? It cant be as bad as my Honda!

I was worried it would be to hard for any kind of correction by hand with Tripple

No problem over the advice pal, although its hard working on the paintwork, BMW paint can mark up easily if you aren't careful. Tripple should indeed clean up any marring nicely. Worked on an EB over the weekend ;-)

Cool, thanks for the advice, I've got some BH finis wax so I might use that instead of buying some SNH, and I'll top with my artdeshine NGPS. Can't wait to get started on it now!

Unsure wether I should let the dealer prep the car before I pick it up.

Never worked on BMW paint before, but do you think tripple by hand would remove any marring they cause when they wash it with a dirty sponge?!

    Thanks again, James

Oh and make sure you get plenty of pics of the M135 when done, and visit babyBMW.net if you get chance :-)

    Hi fella :-)

I don't find AF Tripple mutes flake pop, but it's not the best product for longevity under a sealant (like Werkstat) - I prefer to use AF Tough Prep for sealants, as it leaves a great finish combined with a perfect base for the sealant.

EB looks fantastic with Super Natural Hybrid over Tripple though. A real deep wet finish with around 4-5 months protection

Let me know if you need anything else
