    Hi mate.
    About five to one .
    If really grubby ( read grease then try some APC first.)
    No need to sponge it on engine bay just spray it on.
    Be warned though it wont give you the shiney new look to the plastics and rubber.
    My advice ( if you have any) would be tango for the shuts and FINISH under the bonnet ( just spray it all over and leave for a hour or so then go back and hoover out any puddles of it.) if you just want the shuts to shine once you have cleaned them then a bit of either silicon spray or stardust on them keeps them looking sweet as)
