Aston Martin DB6 heavy enhancement

How best to start describing working on a car like this? From a work perspective, being able to work on such rare vehicles is amazing, having customers who love those vehicles so dearly trust you to put your input into it is a true honour. And from a personal perspective, as a car guy, I'm just straight lucky!

The job description was to get it to a level where she can be maintained for years to come, looking as good as or better than when she left the factory. As it has had a full restoration, we all know what that means

So here she is, in all her glory

I eased myself into it by starting on the roof. Full of ingrained dirt and a bit lifeless I used a degreaser and soft brushes to agitate and then finished with an onr wipe down to remove any residue

Next I pulled the roof back to allow better access wherever possible, and taped up any sensitive areas

Next, the tight work. The edges and creases are the most dangerous areas to do heavy work on, so I like to get these done early whilst I'm still fresh and clear

Next it went through a lot of refining to get any holograms out, then to purely add gloss

Next, it was onto the wheels, I hate working on wire wheels, but the overall effect is worth the time investment

After all the details were taken care of, and she was protected, it was time for collection

I don't know and am curious. Can you explain what that means from a detailers point of view?

Yes sure, it means plenty of sanding marks to chop out, and usually holograms. But I seem to make a living from removing flatting and da marks lol

That's one beautiful car. I'd be shaking like a leaf polishing a car that expensive
