Project: Porsche Boxster S 987

Picked up this well specced 2005 Porsche 3.2S 987 last weekend, 80,000 miles with full history and 2 previous owners.
The colour combination was a big bonus, I like things a little different to the masses- GT Silver with Cocoa, by all accounts a 3k upgrade, other extras include Chrono Sports pack, extended leather, Xenons etc..

In much the same fashion as the previous two projects, the plan is to improve, maintain, replace and revitalise.

Finding time around work for the next few months is going to prove difficult, however a few little bits done in the first week (evenings).

Importantly a new Porsche key fob :)

Changed out the orange bulbs with some opaque silver, improves the aesthetics of the light IMO.

Whilst the lamps were out, a bit of cleaning and protection to the area behind, and lenses brightened up with a machine polish.

Much the same for the headlights.

Also replaced the old fuel filler cap and perished rubber.

Next job once time permits, alloys off and brake hubs refinished.

Great car! I shall watch this with interest. I'm going through much the same process at the moment, with my 2007 Cayman S.

Nice project.

Are they gloss Black interior sill covers?.....that's madness if they are, they just attract scuffs and scratches,

Very nice, love the colour combo

Thanks, no they should be a low sheen finish, the valeter at the independent dealer prepared them with some kind of shiny dressing which highlighted the scuffs more so. I was going to replace them but have since stripped them back to factory finish and it doesn't make the scuffs as evident.

Nice motor, Rob. I like GT Silver and the cocoa interior is a subtle change from black. Enjoy!
