Small rust spot - how to treat it ?

Hi guys and gals

I have a small rust spot on one of the wheel arches, and I'm looking to stop it before it spreads. I have so silver paint I can apply after treatment to colour it in, but what do you suggest I do first to treat it ?

Sorry its blurry.

Thanks

Thing is with rust is that you can never remove it without cutting it out or at least cutting out the affected area.

I would get some P80 grit paper and rub it down to bare metal get it as good as you can then give it a decent coat of Silver smooth rite then once it's gone off and is properly cured paint over it with the correct body coloured paint.

I have always found that smoothrite or hammer rite does a gat job of slowing down the rust process.

If you have a look through this thread it'll show what products are about and what they can do. :)
