Start with the least harsh pad and polish combination first, only then can you tell how soft or hard the paint is. Presumably you have panel wipe or similar, light source etc?

The paint needs to be perfect or near as damn it...

The paint needs to be perfect or near as damn it before a coating is used, hence the cost involved. Its not a product you can just slap on with the car outside

Impossible to really say whats best - loads will say wax or sealant others (myself included) will say ceramic coating. The new car smell always dies off eventually but should last by keeping it clean

Imo the only 'real' way to remove previous wax is to polish the car, these shampoos that claim to do it presumably only base this on a lack of beading after use - not always an indication of lack of...

Sometimes you have to be paitent for an answer - yes people viewed it but that doesn't mean they know the answer. Envy Car Care chemicals are brill imo and work with coatings

No pro would ceramic coat a car unless they did the prep work too - just common sense really. People seem to use coatings outside but this is asking for trouble imo, if you haven't got anywhere...
