Mine does it sometimes when the incoming water pressure to PW is to low.
If for an example the water hose is bent and not flowing fully or if i've not opened the water valve fully.

There was some talk about modifying a 3" rupes mini backing plate to fit the Makita but found no one who had tried to do it.

However you could add a wax on top of Moonlight after it has cured, maybe adds some depth. But more so I think the wax will take away the good properties...
