Trouble removing marks on roof

I'm trying to tidy up my Megane R26. I'm getting good results on other parts of the car but the roof is covered in what looks like tree sap. The photo was taken after I'd washed and dried the car....

I was on the cusp of buying a new gun for my C110...

I was on the cusp of buying a new gun for my C110 because the hose kept popping out under pressure. Pushed the outer sheath back and now it's fine!

I'm looking for a nice late 330ci sport at the moment, my 130i is on autotrader.
So much you can do with the E46 compared to the E87 1 series.

I use a TFR through a pump garden sprayer most of the time now. Great for removing all the winter grime!
I leave it to dwell for 5 mins or so, hose off and I reckon 90% of the dirt disappears.
