The paint needs to be perfect or near as damn it...

The paint needs to be perfect or near as damn it before a coating is used, hence the cost involved. Its not a product you can just slap on with the car outside

Imo the only 'real' way to remove previous wax is to polish the car, these shampoos that claim to do it presumably only base this on a lack of beading after use - not always an indication of lack of...

Srp, lifeshine and the werkstat aren't waxes - srp is a polish the other two are sealants. Personally id go srp > 476 wax

Only sure way of removing previous paint protection is by polishing, snow foam won't do it and certainly won't decontaminate the paint either..
