yes you more than likely are. Always try to get rid of as much of the particulates as possible before making contact with a vehicle. Even using a qd on a dirty car can/will inflict "some" damage

Yeah it happens. If it is indeed the coating it will need emoting and re applying. But rest assured it wont damage the paint and can be fixed. Get your man to do a redo before you move to anything...

105 and 205 are always going to get good results. They are body shop and fresh paint friendly. Where as say d300 is not.
Polishing fresh paint is not a problem, but i would leave a month or so...
