Good advise above.
I’ve machined polished all the painted plastic with good results.
To keep the protection up I use a spray on rince off LSP so it covers ever little part.

We bought him a cheap Ford KA, insurance was £1200 with a black box.
He rolled it and smashed it up after 11 months...

As Brian says.

Lime prime is a beautiful product but no good if you are applying a sealant over the top of it, it’s too oily. You need to panel wipe after if using LP.
