Mine went last summer at 42k miles, no prior noises or signs - just seized, snapped the impeller shaft and obviously then threw the serpentine belt. Not what i wanted when accelerating past a pair...

I’d personally leave as they are, the centre badges are a great contrast to the wheel colour and compliment the calipers. Gold or bronze are going to look odd against the badges and calipers imho
