Although Tardis is great by all accounts it can sometimes be difficult to get hold of as it's not sold via normal retailers. The best alternative product I've used is Carchem tar and glue remover.

Can I suggest leaving your aircon on all the time when you drive. Also try Autoglym glass polish, that's supposed to prevent windows from misting.

It doesn't "dissolve" it as such just changes the chemical nature of the iron particle which removes or reduces the bond to the paintwork allowing it to be rinsed off.

I've done both. Currently using a 50/50 mix of BSD and V07 but will be going back to Adams and BSD as I think it works slightly better.
