Update:

After over a month there is still evidence of the spray. I would say Angelwax Bliss has kept my car interior nice and fresh, never overpowering in any way.

Observations are, it goes on...

Gummi Pfledge always highly rated. I have always used AG Bumper and Trim Gel to good effect and it's simply perfect for stopping door seals sticking in icy weather too.

Try pulling the rubber back, mine has tiny holes in it in certain places so you can squirt it inside the rubber .

You should also use it on window runners, do this...

The silicone let the rubbers move, hence the creaking.
Dry rubbers grip the carpaint and flex, unless very old when they dried out.

Gummi Pfledge worked on my bmw 120d but needs reapplying every couple of weeks as it seems to wear off and start creaking again. Bought 2 bottles off amazon.

I wouldn’t use WD-40 or a silicon spray as they can cause some rubber material to break down. Sonax, 303, and Nextzett all sell a rubber protectant that comes in an applicator making the job easy.
