I stand to be corrected but I don't think rain contains any minerals so shouldn't leave water spots, as does tap water. I've had good results with meguiars water spot remover from their marine range

used the G3 one last week.....always used BH Clay up til then....dont think the mitt is quite as effective as a clay bar but it it so much quicker, and the results were perfectly acceptable
