A car that adourned my bedroom walls when I was a youngster- Porsche 911 Carrera, also IMO the best colour to have Guards Red, an american import which underwent a full re-spray a year or so ago before going into storage.
Upon my arrival the car hadn't been touched since the visit to the bodyshop, the brief was to spend a day enhancing the finish and appearance.

This to this in 10 hours.

A couple of before's,

Firstly started of in the usual manner, alloys, tyres and arches cleaned using Surfex HD,

Shuts and various bits of trim cleaned to remove grease and bodyshop mess,

2x applications of APC applied through the foam lance,

Washed and clayed in the usual manner, defects examined.

Pretty bodyshop patterns

Menz IP3.02 and 203s, a drop of each on a Megs Polishing pad,

1st set of passes,

Front indicators removed and polished with LP on a spot pad,

Before and after,

Alloy fascias polished with LP and Ali rims polished with Britemax metal duo, finally sealed with Insulator wax,
Tyres dressed with Z-16 via a brush, not my normal method but due to the tyre ageing it was the best method,

Paintwork glazed by hand using Megs #7 to add some vital oils,
Rubber and plastic trim dressed using CG New look and Z-16 to other areas,
SV Best of Show applied to all painted areas and left to cure for 30 mins before removing,
Glass cleaned throughout with SV Crystal,
Finally a wipedown with Z-8 and complete.

Results.
