We've got a 27 kh Black and Decker Dust Buster - about £50 or so on Amazon. Charges up from the mains. Unlike many dedicated car vacs, it's pretty powerful and has a boost mode and an extendable nozzle to get into awkward gaps. The boost mode is good for really difficult bits.

Very useful in the house as well. No additional tools though.

By all accounts they are very good, much better than the dyson ones.

Or the Shark

Not cheap and they could be used to clean your flat aswell meaning you could sell the one you have in your house and get one for both tasks, something im contemplating

Cordless one's are useless! The only half decent ones are the dyson and you will pay up for them. I have one for my work truck and it ok but nothing to shout about. Battery only lasts 20 minutes or so.
Dont even bother about the like of black and decker powered from a cigarette lighter.

Yep I had a Dyson DC31 for about 6 years or so.

Saw the Dyson V6 on sale for £179 in Currys 6 months ago and bought one of them.
Its great, we have the long attachment with the floor brush and we use it throughout the house too.

The old Dyson is sat on a shelf in the garage for dirty work
