Sweet Jesus. Im all for supporting charity but not at the expense of costing me alot more money to fix the damage done lol. No doubt this is for the people who use supermarket car washes and the like lol.
Take your son in anyway, chuck a couple of quid in the bucket , guys won't turn you away just because you don't want your car washed, we get visitors all the time .
I would happily pay/donate to have someone else's car washed
