I'm looking to replace my Random orbital because I dont like the feeling i have because of the vibration.. after doing a 1-step my hand can vibrate for like 15 minutes.
Is the rupes 21es smoother and less ''hand-fatigue'' than a random orbital ?
Smoothest machine ever, and the higher the speeds the smoother too which suprised me
I know how you feel, DA's vibrate way too much and I reckon could give you long term health issues tbf, my hands were in a bit of pain today from only 3 hours of da polishing
No, the Festool Rotex machines are electric (you may be looking at the air extraction point on the rear of the machine, since it's main purpose like the DAS6 is to be a sander, it can extract dust (but you would need a pad with holes in it for polishing dust lol)
The only air DA's you will get really are the palm sanders, or the rupes air one (think it's LHR75 maybe.. can never remember the code)
As random orbital machines go, the rupes ARE smooth. But as Craig said they do need running at high speed for that to be true. RO is RO at the end of the day, as smooth as you make it it's not a rotary so you must expect some vibration
