This job has its good days! with a rare opportunity to work on such an amazing car, and a massive tick in the life box
On with the job, and the car was already clean when I arrived. As is the case with many supercars, they spend a great deal of time indoors so after a quick assesment it was viable to go straight into the clay stage. Car Before ![]() Before shot, nothing serious just slightly dull/lifeless paint that needed some attention. I decided on Presta Spray n Shine as clay lube for a change. The product is designed for quick showroom cleaning, using a mixture of cleaners to remove marks from the paint surface. With little carnauba/wax content it doubles up great as a lube. This was used with Sonus Green, a great all round clay bar! ![]() Working my way round the car, it was clear just how clean it was...with the clay showing very little signs of contamination. ![]() Time was spent claying under the side sills, and the detailed areas around the back end but with still very little to show. Inspection & Polishing For a black car, the condition was better than expected. Booked in for a Stage 1 Machine Polish I was confident of some great results ![]() ![]() ![]() I finally set on using a Menz Finishing Pad with Presta Swirl Remover and a dab of AS Re-Glaze . Once the polish had been worked and started to haze I switched the pad to a 3M Finishing until the polish had turned clear. Buffed off with a MF and the results were impressive. ![]() ![]() Protection With the polishing complete I got the wax on early to give it maximum contact time. Swissvax Onyx was the weapon of choice, as it looks great sitting on black. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While the wax was curing I turned my attention to the interior and detailed areas. The cabin was given a thorough vacuum, followed by leather treatment on the cream seats and door cards. Murcielago As you climb into the car, you pass some large MURCIELAGO font, which had collected its fair share of dust. A cotton bud and some Malco Outrageous Orange got the job done! ![]() Before ![]() After - Slightly out of focus ![]() ![]() Finishing Touches
Finished ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comparison between 1month old Onyx ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking! For more information and the latest updates visit exoticdetail.co.uk Regards, Simon Exotic Detail Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire & East Riding

Great work there, Simon
I actually prefer this original Murci to the later LP640 (and current SV), as it's got a purer shape imo. with less fussy details (no pun). Par for the course with Lambo though, and history shows they normally nail a design spot on with the debut model, then kind of ruin it with each subsequent evolution - just my opinion. Pity this one wasn't the manual 'box, but still an awesome looking machine, made all the better after some TLC |

+1. The perfect murci, with the uprated gallardo front discs and calipers, and hercules wheels, but not the unecessary LP640 bodywork revisions. |
