Auto lights won't switch off
Hi all
Got a 2008 golf. The auto lights won't switch off. Car is clean, sensor I think is in the rear view mirror? Switch turns on and off otherwise. Any ideas? Thanks |

Don't Golf's of that age use the dipped beams as DRL's the same way my Volvo does?

yes the sensor is in the mirror - if its gone it will need replacing
before you do this, just disconnect the battery and after a few minutes reconnect it - its worth a shot! |

Can you not switch the lights off instead of leaving them on auto ? Have you changed the time they stay on for in the mfd ?

Do they turn off after 30 seconds or so? They usually have a setting so when you get home, it lights the drive way....

I don't have the mfd full fat version. However, switch it off switch in in has done the trick, thanks!
It wasn't the home function, just when driving about. Switched on the car this morning and they just stayed on every time the car was turned on. All sorted now. |
