It started raining...
So I've spent a fair chunk of today cleaning the car. I just applied some SRP and it has started raining. I.e. I didn't get time to buff it off.
Will this be a problem? What should I do from here? I think I will have to delay waxing the car until next week now ![]() Thanks. |

Grab a coat, and make sure its all buffed off/gone or it might make a mess
And ignore the weird looks from neighbours

I'll be out there as soon as the lightening has stopped!
Do you think I should try to dry the car first? Or just go at it with a small microfibre? |

Give it a wash, this will remove the polish residue, if you was using the SRP to fill in the swirls then you may need to go over it again, just make sure its under cover or not gonna rain on it again... had this problem many times before....

2 microfibres, one to buff most of the srp off and rain. The second to finish the job. It will be fine no need to reapply. You could wash again but should be ok not to, pressure car if your concerned.

I've been in the same boat all weekend. Went to wash my car yesterday while the sun was out, took my mitt to the roof and it chucked down. Rinsed it off quickly and ran back inside with buckets. Was about to chuck it all down the drain and then the sun came back out. Went out today to dress the trim and tyres, sun was out as yesterday, just as I was finishing, chucked it down again. Trim dressing has streaked now
