Help with Megs 105/205
Hi all,
I've a g220 da and have never had any problems with products such as srp, Megs scratchx and the like. I recently bought some 105/205 as they are spoken of highly here but just can't get my head around them. I've been putting a dot on a Megs pad dampened with QD and then worked the speed up from low after spreading around. I seem to either have the product dry too quickly or stay really wet for ages and the correction I'm getting even from 105 is not as good as I can get from scratchx. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. 105 and 205 are pressure sensitive compounds on the market, you can work either for a long time, they don't tend to go clear straight away, sounds like technique, spread on the first pass then speed up the machine, slow movements with enough pressure and make 5 to 6 passes and see how you get on.
Maybe with scratch x it contains fillers, so it's filling more and not showing the full correction; i;m not 100% certain but 105 should be more aggressive than scratchx. What pads are you using as well. |

one 'dot' isn't enough product, sounds like your using too much QD spritzing. 3 pea size splodges would be enough to start with, and I wouldn't worry about the QD first and see how you go.
The pad shouldn't be damp with QD anyway, just a spritz to add a little something to the pad. |
