Fusso or Kiwami

Considering these for my go-to base layer for the coming year to replace the Collinite 845 that has served with distinction. Need something that is durable enough to last at least until autumn but that also has a decent level of gloss on its own. I generally use BSD after a maintenance wash for its crazy beading properties and it’s no slouch in the gloss department either, but for special occasions I top off with my precious OCD Nebula, hence the choice to stay away from a ceramic, plus, who doesn’t like to experiment now and then?

So if anyone has tried both, I know Fusso is obviously legendary in terms of its durability while Kiwami has the upper hand on gloss, but I can’t really find a ********** answer on Kiwami’s real world longevity or how it compares side by side with Fusso.

Kiwami has fair durability for a Carnauba blend but if youre going to be putting stuff on top, it won't last that long.

As soon as you say 'replacing Collinite' and 'last until Autumn', it's gotta be Fusso

I'd go with Fusso as your base sealant and top that with Nebula. You'll find Fusso has a decent finish to it on its own. I have a full size pot of Nebula myself after using up my 50ml pot last summer. So glad I have it!

As I thought thanks, Kiwami was the unknown factor.

I have been looking at both of these also and was recommended fusso for the base coat and can apply Kiwami on top to give it that extra shine / gloss. If Kiwami only lasts a few months still have Fusso under it which should last about 6 months and still have some protection.

I don’t belive in this topping your LSP!!!
Fusso beads like crazy and I guarantee if you top it with something else it will never have the same water behaviour.
I have found once the (topped) LSP starts to wear off you lose all the Fusso benefits, it's like it’s clogging the Fusso.
