Knowing me mate Iíll open this one in my same heavy handed fashion and same thing will happen again haha
I will have to be more careful this time haha the seller has had it from me and assured me itís still working fine. We shall see.
Iíll get some pictures up once I start painted the casing. ( for anyone whoís interested haha )
Once Iím happy the thing works Iíll order a replacement chuck too

Iíve been looking at the krylon plastic fusion spray paint for the drill casing. Seems to only really be available in America unless Iím searching the wrong places. Can anyone recommend a hard wearing spray paint for the composite plastic casing ?
Thanks folks
Rob

The first electric drill I bought, in 1977, was almost identical to this. I think the trigger was black, and "solid" rather than moulded like yours so perhaps a slightly earlier or later model.

It is still going strong, I gave it to my son three or four years ago when I upgraded to a Bosch hammer drill.

It was (is!) a great bit of kit. The only thing to be aware of is to rotate the chuck by hand when changing gear, or you get a nasty clunk as the gears mesh.

I use my dad's 1954 every day, it works fine the bushes have not been changed as this is prior to the painted option.

Now a classic a wonderful performer in the era of electric drills.

John Tht.

He made an Oak workbench out of 4" telegraph pole arms, solid or what !!
