Range Rover Sport Gloss enhancement detail

Last week I spent two full days detailing my mates Range Rover Sport for him. It had a few scratches and scuffs on the bodywork, was filthy and swirled all over from the hand car washes he keeps going to. He dropped it over and it was in desperate need of a clean. I started by snowfoaming the car using ValetPro Citrus Prewash and then CSP Snowfoam to loosen the dirt, wheels treated with Korrosol and given a good blasting in the massive arches. Car was washed with Gyeon Q2M bathe using a Gyeon Mitt and then foamed again before cracking out the Bilt Hamber clay to remove iron particles. Wheels cleaned with CSP wheel cleaner although I didnt spend too much time on these, they are going to be refurbished soon and the bodywork was the main focus. Once clayed and decontaminated the paint was ready for inspection, it was thick in areas and thinner in other areas, making me think its had a side resprayed at some point. Under light the car was swirled everywhere. After a couple of different combinations, I found CSP Detailing System No1 Cut Back on a Orange Hexlogic pad on my Rupes performed the best to remove the swirls from the paint. Each panel needed a few goes to remove the majority of the defects and scratches. I completed the majority of the car by the end of the day. Day 2 was finish the bonnet and roof. The bonnet I used Megs M105 to fix the mess we had and the roof was corrected pretty easily with CSP No1. Once I was happy with the finish going by the light I had available, I used CSP No2 Fine Polish on a black Hexlogic finishing pad to restore maximum gloss. This took most of the day to get looking right, but all scratches, scuffs and other blemishes were gone and the car looked amazing. I decided to break up polishing and waxing by treating leather to CSP Leather Cream and Leather Gel to feed the leather and condition it. Plastics were dressed, interior wiped down and then the bodywork panel wiped with UPol and then CSP finest grade Carnauba wax applied. Glass treated with Swissvax Crystal and tyres dressed. The car was finished and then I handed it over to my mate under the local BP forecourt lights so he could see the transformation and the fleck of the paint. He loves it so I'm more than happy.

Thanks for looking, hope you like my work!
