Just finishing off my 3rd 5L BH AutoFoam, once you get over the fact it doesn't have that 'WOW' Factor when it's applied of more 'foamy' foams its cleaning abilities are second to none. Had many occasions where after a weeks worth of driving a once over with BHAF has meant that by time I go over the car with the mitt there's barely any dirt present in the bucket.

Thanks for the review Brian, used your calculation yesterday and the Bilt Hamber for the first time. Bought it off then back of everybody's experience on here and it didn't disappoint. The car was coated with GTechniq CS Black in March but its been probably a good month or 2 since its last clean (I know, I know) the car was pretty much fully clean after pressure washing it off. Won't use anything else from now on!

I’ve just bought 5 litres of foam & a 150ml dosing syringe.

I’ve got a 1lite bottle on my Lance so will experiment with this thread in mind.

Cheers,

Simon

I've been using BH Auto Foam for ages now. I did the 4% test and when I realised I'd need to use just over 400ml of product in my 1L bottle, I ignored it and stuck with around an inch and a half of product. I was worried because I easily go through a bottle doing both my (large) cars.

Having read this thread though, I've realised I've been using way too much and I'm looking forward to trying it at it's proper dilution - especially for winter washes.

Thanks for the thorough review and also the great discussion afterwards.

I put 300ml in my one litre lance bottle, set it to max product draw & fired away.

Had just enough for with wife’s two cars (Toyota C-HR & Mk 1 TT).

Seemed to do a decent job on several week’s grime, even on the wheels.

Impressive.

I use 50ml autofoam with 450ml water in the foam lance bottle and it works great. I use the whole 500ml mix on the car with the arches and wheels given a good soaking too. Been doing it this way for years.

Soo, you're saying you're using an arbitrary mix that you've no idea if it's right, it just works in your opinion and you're not going to check it?
